The 8th of October Fleeting Meeting Write Up

The October Meeting arrived on a glorious, balmy October evening. The upstairs bar in Bar Isit was prepared with balloons, streamers and Meeters keen to kick the Fleeting Meeting off.

This was the best Fleeting Meeting so far. The wine started to flow early in the night as the folk started to relax and get into the flirting. We had people from all parts of South Wales and a wide variety of different occupations, from doctors and nurses to lawyers and actors as well as the odd debt collector! When the speed dating was over, people started mingling with each other like they were long lost friends.

Something we've noticed about speed dating is that when you spend 2 hours talking to 20 people for 3 minutes each, your memory cannot quite keep up, so during the aftermath, the feeling is not dissimilar to a school reunion. You recognise everybody, can't quite recall their names, but feel that you know quite a bit about them all. It's definitely worth trying just to experience the feeling!

A lot of us ended up over in the V Club off St Mary Street, calming down after the excitement and pace of the night. Check out our pictures. If you were there getin touch and let us know what you thought!
